The history of Italian viticulture far outweighs any other country. The Romans were the first to use wooden barrels, cork as a stopper, sulphur as a preservative and to stamp on the clay amphorae the area the wine was from, the vintage and the name of the vineyard manager.

Everytime you raise a glass of Italian wine to your lips, just think for a moment, there are 2,000 years of history in each glass!
